The start of the SLAcS Promotion Application Grade III to Grade II (Sri Lanka Accountants’ Service) has been announced by the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.
The ministry’s official circular states that all eligible officers are encouraged to apply by following the instructions in Public Administration Circular No. 33/2019 and the fifth and sixth versions of the SLAcS service minutes (2019 and 2021).
Qualifications for Promotion
Officers who wish to advance from Grade III to Grade II must:
- possess six years of acceptable, active Grade III service.
- have accrued every pay raise at that time.
- have successfully completed the Grade III efficiency bar exam.
- met the standards for official language competency.
- has successfully finished Level III training in Capacity Building (if hired after February 26, 2019).
How to Use It
The application format specified in Annex 01 of the circular must be used by qualified applicants.
- Download the Application Form: The circular contains the official application for the promotion.
- Fill out the form, making sure to include accurate information in all relevant spaces.
- Obtain Endorsement: The relevant department heads must certify applications.
- Send to the Public Service Commission: After verification, department heads will send applications to the Public Service Commission for final approval.
